The adventure takes an interesting turn when she befriends a toad and an owl who tell her about a legendary Pond of Reflection known to reveal one's true identity. But first they must find it, if indeed it exists. Their friendship and appreciation for each other grow as they encounter difficulties along the way, and strange happenings in the ancient Whoami Forest.

This adventure story is inspired by the Biblical Proverb 27:19 (NIV) and communicates the moral that identity and self-worth springs from heart and character (our inside-out), thus sincere friendship can happen regardless of how different outward appearance may be (our outside-in).

What Can Possibly Stop an Army of Millions?

Journee is not only a mouse but a princess who loves adventure, especially when she has them alongside her best friends, Mr. Toad, Mr. Owl, and Mr. Steed. Not long after their very first escapade together, finding the legendary Pond of Reflection, the four companions find themselves in yet another wild exploit, that is decidedly dangerous and threatens the entire kingdom.

On one lovely fall day, the friends have no idea what is in store for them when they discover a furry blob on top of a boulder, a rock hyrax, and learn of a message for Journee’s father, the Great Mouse King. Mr. Badger's message warns the king of a formidable army of locusts gathering on the kingdom's northern border in the Great Plains by the sea. The king and his Council devise an unlikely plan to not only help the locusts but hopefully thwart the significant threat they pose to the kingdom. This plan's success will require the help of every kingdom animal, great and small, and a very special gift of the rock hyraxes, who live in the crags of the High Western Mountain.

This adventure story is inspired by the Biblical Proverb 30:24-28 (NKJV) and communicates the morals of helping your neighbor, that power can come in small packages, and the effectiveness of working together.

Scarcely six months after their epic adventure in The Hyrax Song, Journee and her friends find themselves on a hunt for the mysterious Zoe-Chai seed. The legendary tale of this seed had been kept alive for generations in the grasshopper world. Legend said that if planted, the seed could feed the entire kingdom and neighboring locust army forever. But where could they find it? And more impossibly, where could they plant it in the perfect location and under the perfect conditions with just a week until the required full moon and rare alignment of the celestial planets: Alzar, Tupa, Zader and Mias?

No matter how daunting the quest, Journee and her friends are ready to crack ancient riddles and sleuth out answers, no matter how dangerous the task becomes. There is only one thing certain in this adventure. It will be a test of courage, loyalty, sacrifice, and resolve.
