James Rosenquest is not James Rosenquist, the famous American pop artist. When you search for James Rosenquest online, Google will try to convince you that you meant the other guy. Man-Hunting Robot was written by the lesser-known Rosenquest—the science fiction writer.

James Rosenquest published just five sci-fi stories in 1959 and one more in 1960—and then disappeared from the literary scene. That’s the entirety of his known work.
