Anxiety is a normal response to risk, the human body's automatic fight-or-flight response. It's triggered when you feel threatened, under stress, or face a difficult situation, like a job interview, examination, or date. In moderation, anxiety is not always a terrible thing. While having an anxiety disorder could be disabling, preventing you from living the life you desire, it is crucial to understand that you are not alone. Anxiety disorders are one of the most frequent mental health problems --and therefore are highly treatable. After you know your anxiety disorder, you can take steps to decrease the symptoms and regain control of your life.
