English, on the other hand, poses a challenge for people like Sasha who don’t fit into neat either-or categories like male or female.

#4 At Maybeck High School, there were no cliques. Everyone was welcome there, and it was a refuge for kids who had been bullied in middle school. The students were obsessed with games, and they would often gather at a wooden table in the hallway to play cards.
