The Switch

Inspirational and relatable real-life story of how Kyle Conway transformed himself from 24 stone and struggling to an unconquerable ultra-marathon runner and boxer. But his greatest challenge of all came after a devastating health diagnosis.

The Switch charts an incredible journey, encompassing not just one transformation but two:

• Tormented by body-image issues and mental-health struggles, Kyle started running under cover of darkness – at first just a few ponderous steps, but it marked the start of a transformation few would believe possible • What began as a desperate attempt to escape obesity soon grew into a relentless pursuit of excellence as Kyle pushed his body and mind far beyond self-perceived limits • He evolved into an ultra-marathon runner, conquering distances most people would never dream of, and he honed his skills as a boxer, chiselling not just his physique but his spirit • But just as he began to live fully in this new identity – strong, confident and unstoppable – life dealt him a cruel blow when he was diagnosed with heart failure • Yet Kyle’s story did not end there – instead of surrendering to despair, he faced his greatest challenge with the same courage that had carried him from darkness into light

Perfect for anyone facing life challenges of any kind, this moving memoir is a powerful reminder that true strength is forged not in the absence of struggle, but because of it.
