"10 Janpath is once again in the news. The residence of Sonia Gandhi, the Congress President is at the centre of attention for the last few days. Reason? the frequent meetings with Poll strategist Prashant Kishor. After handling the political campaigns of different parties, in most of the cases ensuring success, Political strategist Prashant Kishor now wants to work with th grand old party of the Country- the Congress. It is important to note here that previously, Kishore had worked with the Congress and SP alliance in 2017 UP election for the campaign called UP Ke Ladke. The campaign projected Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav as the face. However, the campaign did not work and the BJP swept the state. The Saffron surge swept away most of the seats held by both the parties. After that, Prashant Kishor and Congress did not directly work together. When Capt Amarinder Singh was Punjab CM, he did hire the services of Prashant Kishor, but that was limited role. In the past few years, in fact since 2014, Prashant Kishor has worked with several parties including, BJP in 2014 campaign for Modi, JDU in Bihar, AAP in Delhi, DMK in Tamil Nadu, Shiv Sena in Maharashtra and TMC In West Bengal. He also had a short stint as a politician in Nitish Kumar's JDU. But after his disagreement with Kumar over CAA and NRC issue, he was expelled from the party for indiscipline. However, even after that, he continued to work as a political strategist delivering several successful campaigns. It is said that Prashant Kishore wanted to work for Congress for a long time. Reportedly, it was he who first approached Congress showing a willingness to work with the party for 2024. The Gandhi siblings also in the past held talks with him but the talks did not go through. After the bitter fallout, Prashant Kishore had also openly criticized the party. However, after Congress' route in the recent state assembly elections, Prashant Kishor approached the party again and this time the meeting was held not only with the Gandhis but also with senior Congress members. Multiple rounds of meetings have already been held in the past few days. Party's communication head Randeep Singh Surjewala said that the party will announce the decision in 1-2 days. But the speculations are rife about what happened in the meeting between Gandhis, Congress leaders and Prashant Kishor? "Taj mahal is undisputedly one of the prominent tourist attractions that India has to offer to the world. But it is also among the most controversial ones. The UNESCO world heritage site is considered a symbol of love that Mughal emperor Shah Jahan got built in the memory of his wife Mumtaz after her death. However, for the last several years there have been claims by the Hindu right-wing organisations that the Taj Mahal's real name is Tejo Mahalaya and it appears to be a Jyotirlinga or one of the exquisite Shiva temples. However, this time Taj Mahal is in news again since a petitioner from Ayodhya had filed a writ plea before Allahabad HC seeking to open 22 rooms of Taj Mahal. The petitioner Dr Ranjeet Singh, a BJP leader from Ayodhya in his petition said that these rooms should be opened to acertained whether there are idols and inscriptions of hindu gods and goddesses inside it. The PIL that was filed amid the Gyanvapi mosque controversy in Varanasi, was listed for hearing today. However, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court not only tore into the petitioner but also gave an earful to him. The court asked what rights of the petitioner are infringed upon due to closed rooms in Taj Mahal? The court further slammed him noting that the provision of PIL is being misused. The court also said today you are asking to open the 22 rooms in Taj Mahal, tomorrow you may want to enter Judges' chamber. Rajasthan police Saturday reached Noida to arrest News18 anchor Aman Chopra for his shows on the temple demolition in Alwar district of Rajasthan. Three FIRs were filed against him in the state. However, he got relief in two of these cases from the High Court.

Rajasthan Police Reach Noida To Arrest News18 Anchor, Find His House Locked| Aman Chopra Arrested

In a gruesome incident of Honour killing, B Nagaraju a young dalit man was beaten to death by the relative of his wife for marrying a muslim. B Nagaraju, 25, and his wife Ashrin Sultana, 23, were on a motorcycle when around 8.45 pm, they were waylaid near Mandal Revenue Office at Saroornagar in Hyderabad by two people, allegedly her relatives, who attacked them with an iron rod. As the couple fell to the ground, the attackers took out a knife and stabbed Nagaraju multiple times, leading to his death. His wife Ashrin, who was rushed to a hospital by passersby, is reportedly stable. CCTV footage released by police shows Ashrin fighting off the attackers. She told police that she recognised her elder brother who stabbed Nagaraju and that even though she shouted for help, no one came to their rescue.

"The court-ordered videographic survey of the Kashi Vishwanath temple-Gyanvapi mosque complex in Varanasi was completed on Monday. The survey of the premises concluded around noon after three days of inspection in the presence of court-appointed Advocate Commissioners, lawyers from both sides, all concerned parties and officials. On Thursday, a Varanasi court had ordered resumption of the video survey of the complex, which was halted last week following allegations of bias against the official in charge, even if it meant getting “locks opened/ broken”. The survey report must be submitted on Tuesday, it had said.

Gyanvapi Mosque Videography Concludes: Shivaling Found In Says Hindu Petitioner, Muslim Side Denies

"The Controversy around the Kashi Vishwanath Temple- Gyan Vapi mosque is intensifying with every passing day. While the case is in court, the emotions are riding high among supporters of the Temple side. Especially after yesterday's claim of Shivalinga being found in the well inside the Vazoo pond inside the mosque. As the three-day videography survey of the Gyanvapi mosque concluded yesterday, the elated Temple side came out claiming Baba Mill Gaye. That they found the Shivaling inside. They found more than what they were searching for. On the other hand, the Mosque side has rejected the claims and said that no shivaling has been found inside. What the temple side claims as a shivaling is in fact a broken fountain in the pond, meant to provide water for the Namazees to wash their feet. According to some reports, during the survey yesterday the court commissioners asked to empty the pond to click its picture. When the water was emptied, they found the structure in the middle of a square pond surrounded by a round wall. Some pictures and videos of the structure are also doing round on the internet. After the structure was found yesterday, the Varanasi court ordered the DM to seal the area and close the site where the Shivling was discovered and prohibit anybody from entering there. The DM, the Varanasi Police Commissioner, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) commandant, Varanasi, are now in charge of the protection of the Gyanvapi masjid complex, according to the court. However, there is another plea pending in the Supreme Court filed by the Gyanvapi Mosque management Committee. The Plea has challenged the varanasi court order to conduct videography of the mosque. While the SC had refused to put a stay on the matter Last week, CJI has directed the bench led by DY chandrachud to hear the matter. The Controversy around Gyanvapi Mosque is as old as Ayodhya Ramjanmabhoomi and Babri mosque dispute. Thus, there is caution and fear about the latest escalation in the matter. Several critics have also pointed out that the Temple Side's claims and attempts go against the Places of Worship Act passed in 1991. "Marital rape is an open secret in the Indian society. Many women in India experience non-consensual, forced sex at the hands of their husbands. In fact, the recent National Family Health Survey says that most married woman experience sexual abuse at the hands of their partners. And the numbers are staggering. According to the National Family Health Survey 5 conducted between (2019-21), “Among married women aged 18-49 who have ever experienced sexual violence, 83 per cent report their current husband and 13 per cent report a former husband as perpetrator.” Many of them said that their husbands “physically forced them to have sexual intercourse with them even when they did not want to”. This is similar to the IPC’s definition of rape. And despite that, Marital rape is not acknowledged. Because of one exception in the rape law. The Exception is for husbands. That the rape law does not consider it a crime when the perpetrator is Husband. There have been petitions filed in the court to challenge the exception. One such petition came up before Delhi HC. However, the two judge bench gave a split verdict. The verdict paves the way for Supreme Court to decide on the matter, but it also reopens the longstanding debate of whether Marital rape should be criminalised in India or not.
