For his essential role in the creation and big promotion of the US Constitution and the US Bill of Rights, he's referred to as the "Father of the Constitution." From 1801 till 1809, he functioned as the 5th Secretary of State of the United States, co-authoring The Federalist Documents and co-founding the Democratic-Republican Party.
