Reckless

"How did you get in here?”

That’s probably not what most women want to hear from the hottest man they’ve ever seen. In my defense, I didn’t expect to be standing in Boone Mason’s kitchen either. But after my sister’s death turned my life upside down and left me raising the child she left behind, unexpected is my new normal.

But unexpected doesn’t begin to describe Boone.

The wealthy, charming playboy is equal parts confidence and chaos. He forgets to pay bills, avoids grocery stores like they’re haunted, and somehow still manages to be sweet enough to make me question my better judgment.

Worst of all?

He likes me.

A lot.

But my life is complicated. Messy. It’s filled with responsibilities that don’t leave room for fairy tales. And every time I start to believe otherwise, the universe finds a way to remind me exactly where I stand.

So while Boone may be determined to work his way into my life, I’m determined to keep him out of my heart.

Because breaking into his house was one thing.

Breaking my heart would be much harder to survive.
