An Unpleasant Predicament, also translated as "A Nasty Story" is a satirical story by Fyodor Dostoyevsky concerning the escapades of a Russian civil servant. His major works include Crime and Punishment (1866), The Idiot (1869), Demons (1872) and The Brothers Karamazov (1880).
