The prison beneath Mount Shasta held two hundred angels for four thousand years.

Some are broken — minds shattered by four millennia in the dark. Some are furious, unleashing Bronze Age rage on a world that's forgotten they exist. Some weep at a sky they haven't seen since before Rome, asking one question: Was it wrong to love humans?
