Cay Cantore is arrogant, manipulative, and a toxic optimist—according to his best friend, Jerricho Hatch, anyway. He also happens to be the grandson of Sal Cantore, famous host of the food program Galactic Eats, who disappeared fifty years ago in search of the fabled planet Eden.

Hunted down by bloodthirsty loan sharks, and in desperate need of cash, Cay convinces Jerricho to join him in an interstellar scheme. Together aboard an aging starship, the cocky chef and his long-suffering cameraman set course for the stars to reboot Sal’s old show … and to discover the long-lost Trees of Eden, whose rumored fruit is so intoxicating, anybody who eats it will never leave the planet again.

In their quest to find the Milky Way’s rarest foods, Cay and Jerricho must brave hostile worlds, battle deadly creatures, and outwit Sal’s old rival, Gustav Geiger—all while trying not to strangle each other along the way. Will their race against a ticking clock lead them to fame and fortune? Or will they, like Sal, become lost among the stars forever?
