EXTRACT: The male junior doctor continues: “When she was first referred to the hospital, she came for a scan to look at her kidneys, which only looked at the lower half. That scan was normal. However another doctor from a different department, was going past her scan and saw that there was something higher up that needed to be looked at, because he could see an abnormality. So the medical staff here rung her to come back that same day so they could take a scan of her upper body. That is when the doctor found the lump in her pancreas.
