“You surprised us,” Rich chimed in.

“You surprised Andrea as well,” Conrad added.

“Not funny,” fumed Andrea, but she didn’t get dressed. She simply stood next to the bed with her shirt covering her chest and not much else. Elaine wanted to point out that she could see that Andrea was a natural redhead, but that didn’t seem prudent at the moment.

“I can leave,” Elaine said. “I wasn’t invited, after all. And I’m sure you two have been plotting this all along, finding a new trollop to bang like frat brothers. I won’t stand in your way.” She knelt down on the floor and picked up her pants. Her stomach was just large enough that she couldn’t easily bend at the waist and she wasn’t certain of her balance because of her rapid weight gain during the first half of her pregnancy.

“Don’t go,” Rich said, a too-smug grin on his face. “I think we can work something out…”
