When Naval officer Alecin Hamilton receives a mysterious summons from her dying grandfather, she has no idea she's about to inherit a cosmic responsibility. As one of twelve Guardians secretly established by Alexander Hamilton and other Founding Fathers after an alien encounter in 1797, Alecin is tasked with protecting humanity's future by finding pieces of an alien device known as the Appello.

Joined by rocket scientist George Washington—a direct descendant of the first president—she races against shadowy corporate interests who want the advanced alien technology for themselves.
