• What is Storytel and how does it work?

  Storytel is one of the world’s largest streaming services for audiobooks, e-books, and podcasts, featuring over 1.8 million titles globally. With a subscription, you get access to our ever-growing world of stories directly on your phone or tablet. 

• Is offline listening supported?

  Yes. By downloading books in the Storytel app, you can listen and read wherever you are – even without an internet connection or when traveling abroad.

• Does Storytel have both audiobooks and e-books?

  Yes. Storytel offers a large selection of audiobooks, e-books, and podcasts. You can easily switch between listening and reading depending on what you’re in the mood for.

• What devices are supported by the Storytel app?

  To start listening and reading, all you need is an active subscription and the Storytel app. You can download and use the app on:

  Android and iOS (Apple) devices.

  Smartwatches: Apple Watch (watchOS) and Wear OS devices.

  In the car: Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Android Automotive OS.

  Streaming: Chromecast (Android).

  Note: Your device needs to meet the minimum operating system requirements for the app. Reading and listening is only supported through the app, meaning you cannot listen from a computer or via Storytels website.

• Can I cancel my Storytel subscription at any time?

  Yes, Storytel has no commitment periods and you can cancel for free at any time. Depending on how you signed up, you cancel your subscription via either:

  The Storytel app or website (under Account settings).

  Apple App Store or Google Play Store (if you subscribed through the app).

  A partner platform (if you subscribed through a telecom provider or partner).

• How much does a Storytel subscription cost?

• Is there a free trial?

  Storytel frequently offers free trials for new users, though current promotions vary. To see what offers are available in your region, check the top of this page or visit Storytel’s homepage.

  To start a free trial, you will need to add a valid payment method. We use this to confirm your country and seamlessly transition your account into a paid subscription if you choose to stay with us after the trial ends. You can cancel anytime during the trial at no cost.
