For example, if I wish to lose 10 pounds and decide on a three-month regimen to follow a specific discipline regime, it will be task-oriented self-discipline. On the other hand, if I choose to follow the Golden Rule of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," I will become self-disciplined and develop a consistent pattern of conduct in my interactions.
