This book is an awesome study of womanhood - all though the phases of life. From a little daddy's girl torn between 2 parents and facing the prospect of having another mummy to add to her confusion ; all the way to a grieving old woman still pining for her lost boy ; and all the stages of being a woman in between - all of them having to brave all that Life throws at them. All the characters are beautifully entwined in one holiday location , within one short holiday period. Hidden in the innocuous title , we discover so much of pain , angst , trauma , fears, loneliness and desperation. We can't help but root for the different women , as we witness them overcoming themselves to survive , and eventually , with great satisfaction , to thrive. When women nurture one another , they can do wonderful wonders .
