Lost Powers does not disappoint! It brings new challenges and adventures with new friends, creatures, and characters. It is beautifully descriptive and had me on the edge of my seat! Learning more about the culture of Merth and Pathins as well as Vic’s past was illuminating. The ending had me dumbfounded and longing for the third book to find out what ultimately happens to Vic and Baya and how the surprise ending fits into the world. As far as I’m concerned this series is another home run and I would recommend it to anyone wanting something different from the now cookie cutter literary world!
