Not knowing it was his own reflection, believing that it might be the reflection of some great person, he started bowing to it in his room with the door closed. His wife, Rohini, began to have doubts. One day, after Kannadasa left the room, she entered and saw the reflection of a woman's face in the mirror. Thinking her husband had placed another beautiful young woman there, she became extremely angry. A dispute arose between the husband and wife, and just then, a wandering sage arrived and explained to them that the object showing the reflection was simply a mirror.
