Reno Gates and Will Morgan are on the trail again, this time going to the Pacific Ocean that Will wanted to see. Along the way, they stop at a trailside store where a blonde-haired girl gets Will's attention. She and her family are headed to Oregon by wagon. After seeing the ocean, Reno takes Will up to Oregon to visit a good friend of Reno's. Along the way, they have to deal with men who want to rob them, a town intent on hanging a Black man, and the deaths of that blonde-haired girl and her family.
