Ben Mapstone is a normal boy growing up in rough circumstances. His mistreatment leads him down a dark path where he meets the Freolans. The mystical friends take him, and his assassin dad, to a mind blowing world where they give him information that will change his life forever.

Not everyone that is a friend will help, and the number of enemies grows by the day. Violence seems to follow them wherever they turn, as the world spirals into chaos. Just when they think the madness might improve, we meet Lysander, a Freolan from hell.
