Congo Trails

A patient's death in Stockholm sets off a chain of events that will drag Martin Roeykens into the darkest corners of his own history. Among the belongings of the deceased lies a photograph from the Congo — and a name Martin has spent his life trying to forget.

Haunted by questions his family never answered, he follows a trail that winds through Belgium's corridors of power, across Burundi's war-torn hills, and deep into the jungles of Central Africa, where old crimes lie buried beneath new wars. What he uncovers connects colonial greed, corporate corruption, and the bloodstained legacy of a forgotten generation.

Congo Trails is the second book in The Africa Trilogy — a taut, atmospheric thriller about buried truths, moral reckoning, and the price of uncovering the past.
