Sujata a Bharata Natyam dancer and a journalist with Washington Post interviews Krishna a blossoming biologist, in New York. Mutually impressed they decide to get married. A happy marriage results into two lovely children Ramya and Ramesh. Krish climbs the ladder to win McDonald Professorship.

Fate decides to intrude. Sujata becomes wheel bound thanks to myasthenia gravis. Achievement oriented Sujata becomes anger oriented. Verbal venom spews and all at home are alienated.
