Middle-aged widow Gwen Lindstrom is the owner of Ranchers’ Café, a restaurant in Dubois, Wyoming. When sorting through old business records belonging to her late husband, she finds something that stands out: a statement for a valuable pension that she had no idea even existed.

After meeting with the private investigator Richard Stuckley, Gwen hires him to look into the disappeared pension money. Soon, they both find themselves in mortal danger.
