ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK

The Girl with All the Gifts by M.R. Carey is a post-apocalyptic novel set in a world ravaged by a fungal infection that turns people into mindless, cannibalistic creatures known as "Hungries." The story follows Melanie, a highly intelligent young girl who is part of an experiment with other children who are infected but retain their human consciousness. As the group escapes the confines of their military-controlled environment, they face dangers both from the infected and from each other. The book explores themes of survival, humanity, morality, and the blurred lines between monster and human.
