The Devil and Tom Walker by Washington Irving is a chilling and timeless tale of greed, temptation, and supernatural justice. First published in 1824, this classic American short story follows the miserly Tom Walker, who makes a fateful deal with a mysterious stranger in the woods—none other than the Devil himself.

Set in colonial New England, the story draws on European folklore and Puritan morality to deliver a darkly humorous cautionary tale about the price of wealth and the corruption of the soul. As Tom's fortunes grow, so too does the weight of his bargain, culminating in a grim and unforgettable ending.

This full audiobook brings Irving's richly atmospheric prose to life, capturing both the eerie setting and the story’s biting satire. Ideal for fans of Gothic fiction, American folklore, and moral tales with a supernatural twist.
