Dusty Shaw has always been on the move, drifting from the Texas bayou to the open plains of Kansas. Ambidextrous and lightning-fast with a six-gun in either hand, he’s earned a reputation as a top hand and a bad man to cross.

When his restless trail leads him to Cottonwood, Wyoming, Dusty finds ranchers under siege and a woman who stirs in him something deeper. A menace is threatening everything in the valley; cattle are vanishing and tempers are flaring.

Behind it all looms Ben Jackson, an elusive outlaw who intends to take over all the ranches. As the noose tightens around Cottonwood, Dusty is the only man standing between lawless greed and the honest folks trying to hold on. Soon, a final showdown between the drifter and the outlaw will decide who is the fastest gun in the West.

A fast-paced adventure steeped in classic Western grit, THE DRIFTER is the fourth book in the Fast Gun Series by Terence Newnes.
