Two Pigs and a Corpse

An offensive bookseller, a pair of priceless pigs . . . and a dead body just beyond the pen.

Sue Jaworski is gearing up for a busy Thanksgiving season—her garden shop needs stocking, her daughter's visit is just days away, and her granddaughter Jessica is about to welcome a baby. So when Alan suggests taking on a new case for the SAJ Detective Agency, she is less than enthusiastic.

The job? Figuring out who keeps releasing two treasured pigs from their pen on a rural property outside of town. Not exactly a gripping mystery . . . until a body turns up in the woods beyond the fence.

The victim is the abrasive new bookstore owner in Aspen Notch—a man Sue had recently met and instantly disliked. When a decades-old feud surfaces between the bookstore owner and their pig-loving client, Alan joins the county police to investigate the murder. Meanwhile, Sue digs deeper into the oddly specific instructions they were given about protecting the pigs.

The more she learns, the more she suspects the pigs may hold the key to more than one mystery, and that someone in Aspen Notch is willing to kill to keep certain secrets buried.

The tenth book in the Aspen Notch Mystery series, Two Pigs and a Corpse is a wholesome cozy mystery filled with endearing characters and a satisfying whodunnit at its heart. If you enjoy Betty Rowlands, Murder, She Wrote, or the classic charm of Nancy Drew, you'll feel right at home in Aspen Notch.
