రెండు మహా నగరాలు చార్లెస్ డికెన్స్ రచించిన చారిత్రిక నవల. లండన్, పారిస్ నగరాల్లో ఫ్రెంచి విప్లవం నేపథ్యంగా ఈ కథ జరుగుతుంది. ఫెంచ్ డాక్టర్ మానెట్ 18 సంవత్సరాల సుదీర్ఘ జైలు జీవితం తరువాత విడుదలయ్యి లండన్లో నివసిస్తున్న తన కూతురు లూసీతో జీవిస్తాడు. అప్పటిదాకా తన కూతురైన మానెట్ ని కలిసి ఉండడు. ఈ కథాంశం మూలంగా ఫ్రెంచి విప్లవానికి దోహదపడిన సామాజిక పరిస్థితుల గురించి ఈ కథ ఉంటుంది. డికెన్స్ రాసిన ముఖ్యమైన నవలలో ఇది ఒకటి. ఇప్పటికి ఈ నవల ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా బెస్ట్-సెల్లర్ జాబితాలో ఉంది. దీనిని తెన్నేటి సూరి తెలుగులోకి అనువదించారు.

A Tale of Two Cities is an 1859 historical novel by Charles Dickens, set in London and Paris before and during the French Revolution. The novel tells the story of the French Doctor Manette, his 18-year-long imprisonment in the Bastille in Paris and his release to live in London with his daughter Lucie, whom he had never met. The story is set against the conditions that led up to the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror. As Dickens' best-known work of historical fiction, A Tale of Two Cities is claimed to be one of the best-selling novels of all time. The novel has been adapted for film, television, radio, and the stage, and has continued to influence popular culture.
