The producer of the audiobook is an award-winning sound designer and composer. When he and his wife struggled with sleep apnea, he searched for an audio program that would help. "I mostly found cheap sound effects with repetitive, looping tones. Granted, my background makes me a little picky, but I found these programs more annoying than relaxing."

So he set out to record the best sounds he could find. The ocean waves, rain, thunder, streams and waterfalls are all original recordings.

Next, he experimented with tones. This program is the first to include mellow arrangements of beautiful classical music. "I have produced over twenty experimental programs now and have had sleep doctors, patients, as well as my own friends and family members try them on.
