Just then, in a flash, this enemy soldier fired. I fell back, my helmet came off, and before I could say, Jack Robinson, this huge fellow had pinned me down. I fired my carbine, but no bullet came out as the magazine had fallen off. With the enemy on top of me, we got into a hand-to-hand fight. I knew instantly that only one of us would survive to tell the tale!
