While there is plenty written for the experienced boat-builder this little book sets out the features of yacht design for those whose interest is just beginning. Part I is dedicated to Theory and Construction including chapters on Laws of Hydrostatics, Conventions in the Drawing of Yachts, Speed Accommodation and Cost, Hull Form, Sail Plans and others. The second part is focused on The Practice of Design with chapters on Drawing, Calculations, Analysis of Hull Form, Design Rules and Theories.
