This piece is supposed to create the feeling of a joke and it certainly delivers. Another beautiful characteristic of this piece is it has a fully developed trio section that keeps this piece from becoming too one-dimensional. This Romantic Period piece is an intermediate level and, as expected, it is played in its entirety at the beginning of the lesson and then taught completely “by ear,” broken down by section, phrase, and measure.
