The story Is a biography about an Egyptian princess called Hatshepsut, she lived in the era of the 18 dynasty. The events of the novel started when Hatshepsut’s father leaved the throne without a male successor. Hatshepsut had to face the social and religious conditions that marginalize her as a woman. Finally she succeed to become a pharaoh to all Egypt. It is also a love story between Hatshepsut and one of its army officers called Sunnmute. The story shows also the conflict between Hatshepsut and Priests over the power.
