The Dog Cops Book 2: Operation Counterstrike

Sergeant Ben Gibson and his son Cooper are gradually settling into life in the rural city of Clarkdale in Central Victoria having decided to make it their permanent home. As they slowly recover from the devastating death of Ben’s wife and daughter Ben begins to consider the possibility of finding love again.

In Operation Counterstrike Senior Constable Cassandra Morrow and police dog Samson, a feisty two-year-old Rottweiler, are sent to Clarkdale to complete their six-month operational training phase. It's a steep learning curve for Cassie and Samson as they work to develop their operational skills under Ben’s supervision.

Meanwhile, a dangerous criminal gang have moved into the area to expand their national counterfeiting operation. The gang’s clever scheme has been reaping huge financial rewards right under the nose of various government agencies. That is until Ben’s police dog, Sabre creates the first cracks in their ingenious plan thanks to his incredible sense of smell.

The Victoria Police and Australian Federal Police departments launch an operation code named Counterstrike. Their goal is to identify, locate and arrest the counterfeiters and in particular the gang leader, Cliff Samuels, known to be a cold-blooded killer.

Ben and Cassie and their canine partners become central characters in the search for the offenders as the police struggle to identify the “inside men” who are assisting the gang.
