#2 Self-control comes from understanding what you want and what is right for you, and exercising your control to fulfill those desires. It is your capacity to make the right decision for yourself in light of your desires and do things that bring you joy.

#3 When you are struggling with an addictive compulsion, you feel exhausted. By gaining control over your compulsion to act out and do something, you are wasting creative energy and draining your energy that could be put towards something else.

#4 As you gain greater control over your life, you will experience a sense of freedom that you have never experienced before. You will feel trapped and like there is no end to your misery, but as you develop better habits and adhere to the laws of greater self-control, you will tap into your freedom.
