Protected by powerful runes, they are hunted by the Malasephus's creatures, the nohetka and feral. When everyone he knows is brutally murdered, Jan swears an oath of vengeance, and the Beckoning responds.

Feeding his hate and anger, it shapes and twists him into a creature driven by vengeance. As he sheds more and more innocent blood in his quest to avenge his family, Jan must decide what matters more to him, vengeance, or his humanity.
