#1 Overthinking is when you cannot seem to get something off your mind, and you have uncontrollable or intrusive thoughts that don’t seem to go away. It is when you catastrophize everything around you or you are unable to think clearly due to the obsessive amount of thoughts overloading your mind.

#2 Insomnia develops when people are unable to turn their thoughts off. You may be tired all day, but when you lay down to sleep or rest, you are instantly awake. Your thoughts flood your mind with everything you haven’t done yet, what you want to do, or maybe you didn’t perfect something you already did.

#3 The need to control is one of the main problems associated with overthinking habits. The need to control everything means that you try to plan the future, which is unknown. You fear failure and obsess over what you are doing now to stop bad things from happening.

#4 The mind of a control freak is dominated by the fear of failure and perfectionism. They will constantly analyze, reanalyze, and second-guess, until nothing seems good enough.
