Allan and the Ice-Gods is a novel by H. Rider Haggard featuring his recurring character Allan Quatermain, based on an idea given to Haggard by Rudyard Kipling. The story details Quatermain's past life regression to a Stone Age ancestor and the various adventures involved. This was the fifteenth and final Allan Quatermain novel to be published, although the events of the novel Allan Quatermain occur after it. Excerpt: "Had I the slightest qualification for the task, I, Allan Quatermain, would like to write an essay on Temptation. This, of course, comes to all, in one shape or another, or at any rate to most, for there are some people so colorless…"
