This was really an amazing story and i loved every second of it, except for two tiny complaints: first of all i was put off by the “beautiful but doesn’t know it” trope even if it worked beautifully in the plot (i realize that this is just a me problem with how i just don’t like that particular trope in general since in this book it actually kinda made sense). Second i had a hard time with all the stuff surrounding the senator’s situation; while it was a compelling story and added a thrill to it all i just don’t know if all these major agencies would support a presidential candidate this heavily i don’t know it just seemed kind of far fetched(?) Still, the thriller aspects of the plot were flashed out and i liked how the romance didn’t outshine them too much! The last tiny complain (again this is just me and the linguist major in me speaking) is that i would have loved to see some actual Russian in the book but i realize it could’ve just confused things for the readers.
