Echoes

In the wake of unspeakable loss, Jason Marks finds himself spiraling into despair. After the tragic death of his daughter, Judith, and the collapse of his marriage and career, he seeks solace in the bottom of a bottle, lost in the shadows of grief. But everything changes when he meets Elena, a woman with an impossible gift—she can channel the voices of the dead.

Skeptical yet desperate, Jason agrees to record these supernatural conversations for his struggling podcast, Echoes. As he interviews the spirits of iconic figures like Vincent van Gogh, Robin Williams, Kurt Cobain, and Sylvia Plath, his podcast skyrockets in popularity. But with each conversation, the voices grow more intense, more demanding—and the line between healing and haunting begins to blur.

When Elena reveals that the spirits have turned their attention to Jason's late daughter, Judith, he must confront the devastating choice between surrendering to the seductive pull of grief or finding the courage to reconnect with the living.

Echoes is a heart-wrenching exploration of loss, redemption, and the perilous allure of lingering in our darkest moments. Dr. Emrani’s lyrical prose takes readers on a journey through the painful labyrinth of grief, offering not only a profound understanding of personal loss but also a hopeful reminder that even in the deepest wounds, light can grow. For anyone facing the shadows of anxiety, depression, or PTSD from life-altering loss, Echoes is a compassionate and transformative story that speaks to the resilience of the human spirit.
