Hacked Future

It starts out with a body – the stench of a body, to be more precise. Ross may have an idea why the man is dead in his flat, but he’s not telling anyone.

London, 2045. The police are struggling to identify the dead man, but despite all the technology at their fingertips the man remains a mystery. That's until an outbreak of a deadly virus provides a crucial link to a touring Singapore e-sports team and a motley collection of small-time cybercriminals.

The SimCavalier, aka Cameron Silvera, wants to enjoy her romantic getaway with Ben, but clues to a Paris data theft are coming thick and fast. Her team has its hands full dealing with an escalating torrent of online attacks, and the fallout from a global data breach has hit their clients hard. Cameron starts to connect the dots as underground markets are flooded with stolen files.

Everything points to a single cybercrime syndicate controlling a wave of thefts, and the mysterious Yasmin the Admin who calls the shots. Ross thinks he’s found the people involved, but it may be too late. Cameron’s cover is blown and her home is attacked. The syndicate is hunting down the SimCavalier who has thwarted their plans once too often. Can she stop the cybercriminals and their hired thugs before they strike at the heart of her family?

"Insidious vision of the day after tomorrow.”

"The near future recognisably imagined. Real suspense and tension."

“So real, so grounded in the possible, and so well written that it is easy to forget you’re reading about a future that has not happened yet.”
