The Fragmentation Problem Hypothesis: One Problem – One Cause – One Solution for Humankind

Let’s just say it like it is: our world is dying and we are the only ones to blame. The phenomenon is called ecological overshoot or overconsumption and it is always met with collapse.

Let's just say it like it is: our world is dying and we are the only ones to blame. We, the human species, are exceeding the carrying capacity of our habitat like there's no tomorrow. The phenomenon is called ecological overshoot or overconsumption, and by matter of natural law, it is always met with collapse. We can't escape it anymore; it's coming.

We obviously fail to recognize that environmental pollution, biodiversity loss and climate change are mere symptoms of overshoot, which is the only overall problem we have left. It has only one cause: overpopulation. And it has only one solution: voluntary global population reduction.

Do you feel the urge to utter a derogatory snort, or grumble a firm "Humbug!" and move on? Good, then this is the perfect book for you, because you are as much part of the problem as anyone else on this planet.

In 2022, author, public speaker and climate confrontealist Bart Flos published his Magnus Opus De mens als grens ('Our Inner Limits'), about the unbending barriers of being. Many books followed, including Sixty Signs of Societal Collapse, The Suicide Kind and Global Societal Collapse: The Musical. This 2026 book is his ultimate frontal confrontation with truth and reality.
