Fantastisch boek, prachtig verhaal. Heel indrukwekkend en inspirerend. Geweldig eind aan deze serie!

I enjoyed this book so very much, really! Like the whole series actually. I liked all of it: the characters, the problems they were struggling with (impressive and also the author managed to sketch a very realistic “view” of those problems), the themes, the stories and even the hockey scenes! I hadn’t seen an ice hockey game before (odd, for I’m a speed skater and the hockey rink is in the middle of “our” ice rink), so halfway through the series I watched excerpts from NHL ice hockey games on YouTube and wow, what a fast game it is! I loved seeing it. Reading about the games after that was much more fun.I’m almost sad this is the final book, for I’ll miss Ilja Rozenov’s teasing and joking, I’m sure! (That’s why I just finished listening to this book for the 3rd time!)About the narrator: Cooper North is so talented! He manages to hit precisely the right tone, sometimes with a bit of laughter in his voice or with the right amount of seriousness. I love listening to his performances.

disappointing expected more

So much better than the first book about Shane&Ilya

Heel mooi, al is het fictief toch maakt het duidelijk hoeveel er nog moet veranderen in de sportwereld. Ook mooi dat het onderwerp depressie besproken wordt.
