I'd hoped to see some personal growth in the portrayal of female characters, but alas my hopes were thwarted. I'm beginning to suspect the author lists beauty as any female characters sole characteristic because it is the only thing in them he finds valuable, or worthy of admiration. Why tarnish perfectly decent fantasy this way? Why?

I'm deeply disappointed that they continue to use the same voice actor for this book as the first. He mispronounced common English words to the point of distraction, and diminishes my enjoyment of the books. The book itself is decent enough.

Good in between book in the series.Huge amount of set ups to get the paypff in A darkness at Sethanon.He is really good with epic tales, male friendship, battles and the fantasy story.Unfortunately the female characters are left out to much. They have a few moments but are mainly there to be beautiful or give the male characters something to care about.Extremely good fantasy though. I hope he gets to understand that women are interesting too in the later novels.
