Historie

#1 The sun rose over the mountains as the noise of the artillery resumed. The 5th Marines had secured Hamhung, and were now preparing to push the Chinese back across the border.
#2 Tim had struggled to stay warm enough to sleep, but he knew the soldiers were lucky that someone had studied the lessons of the first Korean War. The air base had been secured, and an engineering unit had made a space that was livable enough for the units to have a place to rest before returning to the battle.
#3 The rest of the company began to offload soldiers from Air Force cargo planes. It was good to see the Aussies getting in the fight. Sergeant Long had trained with the Australian Army in the past and knew them to be excellent soldiers.
#4 The company and the battalion were desperately short on officers and senior NCOs, so Culley promoted Long to master sergeant. The entire ridgeline was less than twelve kilometers from the Chinese border, and the division commander wanted to be the first American unit to cross into China.
