I struggled to finish this book, and I truly wonder why it is so highly rated. I was recommended Deida but there are much better teachers out there. Although I agree with the basic premise of this book (feminine and masculine and the polarity of these two), this book is offensively stereotypical. Deida sees only one expression of masculine and feminine, and is hammering a predictable set of characteristics for “masculine” and “feminine”. He tries to be objective in his descriptions but sadly this book explores mostly the masculine side with the feminine in the background. The book is repetitive, descriptive and uses a lot of flowery expressions such as surrender to the dance of love, relax into love, ravished in love - after a while your head spins. At no point does he explain that to reach this state you need a looot of internal work and sometimes coaching or therapy.
