#1 When Sadiqa arrived at the hospital, she was terrified. She was very afraid of the prospect of delivering her baby. She was worried about the car, and how she would be able to drive it after the baby was born.

#2 The popular belief that racist and antiracist define a person rather than describe a person in a specific moment doesn’t take into account the complexity of individuals living in contradiction.

#3 To be antiracist, we must acknowledge the times we are being racist. To raise an antiracist, we must overcome that inner voice of denial and acknowledge the gravity of the situation.

#4 To raise an antiracist child, you must first teach them about their own culture and history. Then, you must teach them about other cultures and histories. And finally, you must teach them about the common humanity that connects all of these different cultures.
