The crown of thorns was one of the greatest medieval relics, supposedly pressed into the head of Jesus Christ by mocking Roman soldiers. The massacre that shattered the old Ottoman world

Think of the transportation of convicts, and your mind probably goes to the arrival of the First Fleet in Australia in 1788.
