Nurgle is the Chaos God of despair, decay, and disease. He was the third to awake of the four Gods of Chaos, fully coming into existence during Terra's Middle Ages, with plagues sweeping across continents in the wake of his birth. His titles include the Plague Father, Fly Lord, Great Corruptor, Plague Lord, Master of Pestilence, Lord of Decay (the Dark Tongue translation of his name is, Nurgh-leth). The desperate, ostracized and dying come to Nurgle to find alleviation from their pain. To these potential devotees, Nurgle provides not redemption from their ailments, but rather comfort within their suffering. Those blessed by Nurgle are granted relief from physical pain as well as a bizarre satisfaction in their depressive state. It is a twisting of a being's perceived reality, turning delusion and denial into truth and acceptance, just as self-respect and vanity turn into monstrous self-satisfaction.

Nurgle and his daemons, in contrast to their putrid appearance, are jovial and friendly in demeanor. His daemon servants and mortal followers usually demonstrate a disturbing joviality and joy at the pestilence that he inflicts, seeing the plagues as gifts and the cries of their victims as gratitude rather than agony. This is demonstrated on the Daemon World of Bubonicus, where an endless chain of crazed revelers circles the planet's equator in a never-ending dance.

Space Marine Power Armour is an extraordinarily sophisticated defensive system which combines huge resistance to physical damage with a sensory array and sealed environment which protects its wearer from the ravages of the void and alien atmospheres. Integrated with the armour are networks of electro-motivated fibre bundles which mimic and augment the muscular strength of the wearer, as well as connection cables which hook up to the Black Carapace implant of a Space Marine. The true genius of the design, however, lies in its close integration with the already superhuman physiology, senses and reflexes of the Space Marine within. Working in concert, armour and Astartes together become a weapon without equal.

A δτ-class or Death World (sometimes spelled as Deathworld) is a world classification defined by its extremely dangerous or aggressive native flora and fauna. These eco-systems are finely balanced between continual destruction and lightning-fast reproduction. Death worlds take many forms, ranging from jungle-covered hell-holes with carnivorous plants and animals to barren, volcanic wastelands racked by ion storms. The most famous and notorious Death World is the hellish planet of Catachan

Some worlds can be turned into Death Worlds, like what occurred on Indiga after numerous captive giant predators escaped from their zoos. When this happens, these worlds are labeled as Man-Made Death Worlds.

Humans can, and do, live on these worlds, but it is a never-ending struggle. On many death worlds it is as if the entire bio-mass of the planet were consciously motivated against human settlement - concentrating forces against intruders to destroy them. Death worlds with human settlements or colonies can have populations of 1,000 to 15,000,000.

Death worlds are not usually inhabited, and are nearly impossible to colonise but still need to be explored, which means the establishment of outposts and other support facilities. Some planets have rich mineral wealth, animal life, vegetables or gases, so tithes might range from Solutio Tertius to Solutio Prima.

A Techmarine (known as a Frater Astrotechnicus in High Gothic) is a Firstborn or Primaris Space Marine technician and engineer as well as a full Astartes battle-brother of his Chapter. They are fully initiated members of both the Cult Mechanicus and their Chapter.

Prospective Techmarines are chosen from the ranks of the Space Marine Chapters for their affinity with technology. They learn how to divine the runes of engineering and study the liturgy of maintenance. This great body of lore must be committed to memory and understood by the novice Techmarine. 

They are taught how to "feel" the pain of a damaged machine and heal it. When they come back they serve the same role in their Chapter as a Tech-priest Enginseer in the Astra Militarum. Without the passing on of such ancient lore, the Space Marines would eventually grind to a complete halt, unable to make war. Thus does every Chapter’s might hinge upon the esoteric knowledge of its Techmarines.

Trailer for new 40k show ASTARTES 2 came out recently and it was pretty good. We aren't really into doing the whole soyjak pointing reaction videos, but trailer actually contained a lot of cool stuff and showed off quite a few obscure space marine chapters we want to talk about today with Kirioth: Scythes of the Emperor, Sons of Medusa, Retributors, Angels Vermillion and Mortifactors.

Warhammer 40k became close to what we recognize it is today around third edition - before that, it was The Rogue Trader: Warhammer 40000, a pulp fiction mishmash of Judge Dredd, Alien, and Dune... Even more than it is today. In this episode we return to the olden days and take a look at the world of 40k where space marines all behave like Night Lords, Primarch is just a title you can be promoted to, Emperor is some normal guy who was born to human parents and was afraid of dying so he put himself into the jar, Roboute Guilliman is a pile of dusty bones on a shelf in Macragge, Orks get laid, and Rogal Dorn poops on the floor. Left without much options we also touch on the scariest of topic all: Ian Watson.

Many Astra Militarum troops have turned to Chaos over the centuries, including entire regiments of the Astra Militarum's Imperial Army predecessors that followed the Warmaster Horus into battle against the Imperium during the Horus Heresy.

These Traitors represent the primary mortal troops available to the forces of Chaos, now known as the "Traitoris Militarum" in High Gothic to the defenders of the Imperium. Even ten millennia later, Chaos Lords are known to attract these followers of Chaos into their warbands and personal armies, which vary greatly in both size and strength.

Traitoris Militarum troops are often better armed than the average Chaos Cultist and have access to a wide assortment of arms at their disposal. Sadly, throughout the last ten millennia, occasionally entire Imperial Guard companies, or even entire regiments, have been known to turn from the light of the Emperor and join the ranks of the Lost and the Damned, taking with them their armouries and vehicles.

The Ogre Kingdoms are the rightful and sovereign domains of the large, brutish and always hungry mortal race of humanoids known as Ogres. Wandering tribes of Ogres can be found wrecking their way across the globe, erecting many strongholds and plundering far off and exotic lands the likes of which no man will ever see in their lifetime. Yet no matter how far away they may be, all Ogres refer to the scattered tribal kingdoms that dominate the slopes and river valleys of the Mountains of Mourn their rightful, hard-earned homeland. The Iron Sultanate, officially the Great Sultanate of the Invincible Iron Wall of the Two Horns that pierce the Sky, is a Muslim state and the most prominent Islamic nation in the world. A continuation of the Sultanate of Rûm, the Iron Sultanate is most well known for its Iron Wall - A vast and massive bulwark, tens of thousands of kilometers in length, encircling the Sultanate whole. The nation was formed at the end of the great Muslim migration, with the closing of the Gates of al-Qarnayn in 1109. The Sultanate rules over parts of Anatolia and the Levant, and primarily borders lands controlled by Heretic forces. The leader of the Sultanate and its army is the Sultan, or Padishah, which functions as a hereditary title.

Blood Bowl is a miniatures board game created by Jervis Johnson for the British games company Games Workshop as a parody of American football. The game was first released in 1986 and has been re-released in new editions since. Blood Bowl is set in an alternate version of the Warhammer Fantasy setting, populated by traditional fantasy elements such as human warriors, goblins, dwarves, elves, orcs, and trolls, as well as elements unique to the setting such as the rat-like Skaven.
